Meet your hosts – Gordon and Grace.

For 10 years we owned and ran a small hotel (The Victoria Hotel, Elie) 12 miles from St Andrews, specialising in providing a complete package for golfers visiting the St Andrews area.

Keen golfers ourselves, and members at both St Andrews and Elie, we decided we needed more sunshine in our lives, and decided on a semi-retirement on Spain’s Costa del Sol, where we would offer luxury villa-based golf packages for groups of up to 8 golfers.

Before choosing our current location, we spent two winters on the Costa del Sol, playing nearly every course from Parador de Golf right beside Malaga airport down to Alcaidesa near Gibraltar, staying in a variety of hotels and apartments, and enjoying the restaurants, bars, and nightlife that the coast has to offer.

It was fairly easy to settle on a location: surrounded by golf courses (more than 10 within 5km), 10-15 minutes from Puerto Banus, halfway between Malaga and Gibraltar airports, yet also offering a taste of the “real” Spain. We bought a villa close to the village of Benahavis, little more than 500m from both El Paraiso and Atalaya golf courses.

Our philosophy is to offer as much or as little help as our guests want to maximise their enjoyment from their golfing trip to Spain. Some guests simply want luxury B & B accommodation while they organise their own itineraries, others want the “complete package” with all tee times, transportation, and dining arranged. We are happy to provide either.

In addition to being members of La Cañada golf club, we are also members of several golf societies on the Costa, and play many of the courses regularly ourselves. This enables us to offer advice on the condition of many courses – something very few golf agents are able to do.
