La Canada Golf Course Review
The only Municipal course on the Costa del Sol, and a real gem!
Located beside the Sotogrande/Valderrama Estate this was this was originally a 9-hole course built (by Trent Jones!) for the Green keepers at Valderrama.
Always in great condition with spectacular views. The newer 9 holes are easier than the original 9 but still a good test of golf. You will see why Spain´s golfing future is secure as 100 or so schoolchildren enjoy lessons here every afternoon!
This is our home club, so we know the course well and play it often. One of the best draining courses on the Costa del Sol when it does rain, the course also offers some of the best fairways in the area. The greens are challenging but fair, and there are many opportunities for “risk and reward” shots.
Difficult not to enjoy a day here!
